Sesti, Albietz win final WWTR drag race of 2023

ST. LOUIS (November 6, 2023) – Greg Sesti of St. Charles, Missouri, won the final drag meet of the 2023 season at World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday, November 4. The Super Saturday event officially closed WWTR’s 2023 season.

Sesti defeated Andy Hartline of Granite City, Illinois in the 1/8-Mile Box finale.

Nick Stewart of Troy, Illinois won the Phil’s Plumbing Street Motorcycle class over Darnell Dickerson of St, Louis.

The High School Alumni class was won by Luke Albietz of Wentzville, Missouri over Nick Winchester of East Alton, Illinois.

The final round of 10.0 Index eliminations was won by Bob Ruppel of Lake St. Louis. Mike Tyler of East Alton, Illinois finished runner-up.

11.0 Index honors went to Gary Crammer of East Alton, Illinois. Crammer defeated Dan Harris Sr. of St. Louis.

The 12.0 Index final was won by Hailey Rice of Maryland Heights, Missouri over Jeremy Rosenstengel of Belleville, Illinois.

Mike Reiling of O’Fallon, Missouri defeated Matt Kirchoff of Bridgeton, Missouri in the Stick Shift final.
