MADISON, Ill. (August 21, 2024) – Coming on the heels of a thrilling, record-setting Bommarito Automotive Group 500presented by Axalta and Valvoline NTT INDYCAR SERIES race, tickets go on sale today for the 2025 event that shifts to Father’s Day weekend.

The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline will be held June 14-15 and joined again by INDY NXT by Firestone and USAC Silver Crown as support events for the two-day weekend.

Saturday’s on-track activities will include practice and qualifying for all three series followed by the Silver Crown race in the evening. The race will be increased to 66 laps (82.5 miles) as part of World Wide Technology Raceway’s celebration of the Centennial of Route 66.

Sunday’s schedule will open with the INDY NXT by Firestone’s 80-lap/100-mile OUTFRONT Showdown and culminate with the ninth annual Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline NTT INDYCAR SERIES race. The day also will include the Vintage Indy exhibition.

The 260-lap NTT INDYCAR SERIES event will be the first oval race after the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 and poised to match the epic show put on by the drivers this past Saturday evening. The race smashed track records for lead changes with 21 as well as for an incredible 676 passes by the field on the challenging 1.25-mile oval. Among those passes, 254 were for position with 115 in the top 10 and 44 in the top five. Click HERE to see what you missed.

“The INDYCAR race was simply amazing and once again demonstrated that open-wheel racing on ovals provides an excitement level unmatched in motorsports,” World Wide Technology Raceway Promoter and General Manager Chris Blair said. “Our fans were treated to a spectacle that resembled a 200-miles-per-hour, long-distance sprint car race. Throughout the event, there was three- and four-wide racing, dive moves deep into the corners and action that kept our impressive crowd on the edge of their seats. It was everything you could ask for as a race fan.”

Or as a driver.

“…We had amazing battles all up and down the field,” Colton Herta of Andretti Global with Curb-Agajanian said. “We had two lanes working for some guys and it was really more up to if you could maneuver your car in the right way and if your car was better, you could get high. That’s the way it should be. It’s such skill and you still work at getting past people. It was awesome and a lot of fun. It was definitely the best one or two oval races for me in my career.”

The timing of the 2025 race weekend makes for a perfect Father’s Day gift and World Wide Technology Raceway is offering a limited special at three price points to meet any budget. General admission tickets for the two days begin at just $33. Silver Level reserved seating tickets are $66 and reserved Gold Finish Line tickets at $99 for the entire weekend.

“As the first oval event following the Indianapolis 500, the stars and cars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will be at the top of their game and ready to thrill the crowds at their most competitive track,” Blair said. “We’re going to make Father’s Day weekend one to remember with an incredible early ticket offer that provides two days of racing action for as low as $33.”

Race start times and the full weekend schedule will be announced at a later date.
