THROWBACK- 2018 BOMMARITO AUTOMOTIVE GROUP 500: POWER FINDS SWEET REDEMPTION WITH VICTORY
Team Penske and Chevrolet continued their stranglehold of the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 in the 2018 edition of the short oval spectacle. Will Power held off Alexander Rossi, Scott Dixon, Simon Pagenaud and Zach Veach.
The 2018 event will be remembered as a wet one as rain washed away Friday night’s qualifying and the field was lined up based on points. When rain created wet conditions on Saturday morning, WWT Raceway owner Curtis Francois called in a favor and had three helicopters assist in the parking lot drying process before fans arrived.
