Opening bracket weekend has a lot in store including NHRA Division 3 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series and an updated Test ‘n’ Tune
MADISON, Ill. (March 31, 2025) – Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center Bracket Series opening weekend is set for April 4-6 at World Wide Technology Raceway with reduced fees and increased payouts for the 2025 season. The weekend also doubles as the season opener of the NHRA Division 3 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series, and due to the cancelation of the March 29 Test ‘n’ Tune, there will be expanded hours for Friday, April 4.
To start the action-packed weekend, Friday night kicks off with an extended Test ‘n’ Tune due to the March 29 cancelation. Gates will now open at noon and the track will be hot starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m. Tech cards are priced at $50 and Crew/spectators are set at $20.
Gates open at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, and racing begins with Junior Dragster time trials at 9 a.m. Jr. Thunder will take on the drag strip first with Jr. Lightning to follow. Time trials, or qualifications, continue in the order of Pro, Super Quick, Junior Street, Super Pro Bike, Super Pro and Sportsman. There will be two time trials, or qualifications for Super Quick, for each class, and once time trials conclude, eliminations will immediately follow.
To raise money for our racers to get to Norwalk, Ohio, which is over 500 miles away from WWT Raceway, there will be a Practice Tree Race held on the Saturday evening of every bracket weekend. This race will be held 30 minutes after finals at The Pavillion, and all money will go to the travel fund for the racers representing WWT Raceway at the NHRA D3 ET Finals.
For your chance to represent WWT Raceway at the NHRA D3 ET Finals in September in Norwalk, Ohio, don’t forget to sign up for points. Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center Bracket Series point sign-ups are now live on Pit Pay for all classes, so save time and purchase your points membership via Pit Pay.
The 2025 season has brought in a variety of new changes to the NHRA D3 ET Finals on Sept. 11-13 in Norwalk, Ohio:
- WWT Raceway can bring four of each High school and Jr Street participants.
- There will be a Thursday bonus race with over $11,000 in guaranteed payouts.
- Free Test ‘n’ Tune on Thursday morning.
- Thursday evening Championship dinner, open to all teams.
- Hughes Performance Friday Bonus Race with $22,000 in guaranteed payouts.
- Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions on Friday.
- Friday night firework show.
- Dialing for Dollars: Saturday morning time trial session.
- Championship Saturday: eliminations in all classes.
On Sunday, April 6, gates will open at 7 a.m., and there will be an RFC Service in Suite 212 at 7:30 a.m. Junior Dragsters take the stage at 8:30 a.m. for time trials, and the day will follow the same run order as Saturday with eliminations following time trials.
Differing from Saturday, there will only be one time trial for the bracket series, but there will still be two qualification runs for Super Quick. New to 2025, the Ranken Technical College High School Series has moved to Sundays during bracket weekends, and the NHRA Marine Coin Junior Street Program will compete on both days. The Ranken Technical College High School Series will run in between Super Quick and Super Pro Bike.
