The Drag Strip Stays Hot During the Month of April

MADISON, Ill. (April 1, 2025) – The quarter-mile drag strip at World Wide Technology Raceway is booked and busy for the month of April in 2025. From Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center Bracket Series to Midnight Madness, the track stays hot all month.
To kick-off the season, Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center ET Bracket Series hosts their first of four bracket race weekends for the 2025 season on April 4-6. Starting with a Friday night Test ‘n’ Tune on April 4, gates will open at 2 p.m. and the track will be hot from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for open testing. The Test ‘n’ Tune prices remain at $50 for a tech card and $20 for spectators and crew.
On Saturday, April 5, gates will open at 7 a.m. Each class will receive two time trials, and/or qualifying runs, followed by eliminations, this starts at 9 a.m. On Sunday, April 6 gates will open at 7 a.m. with one time trial or qualifying followed by eliminations that will start at 8:30 a.m.
This weekend will also double as the opening weekend for the NHRA Division 3 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Program. For more information, please visit the NHRA D3 website.
New for the 2025 season, Ranken Technical College High School Series has moved to Sunday’s during bracket weekends, and NHRA Marine Coin Junior Street Program will be contested both days. A Practice Tree Race will also be held Saturday evening after racing concludes on bracket weekends at The Pavillion to help generate travel money for the NHRA Division 3 ET Finals in Norwalk, Ohio.
Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center’s second bracket weekend for races 3 and 4 of their championship will be held on April 26-27. This weekend will follow the same format as the first, except for Friday, April 25, as there will not be a Test ‘n’ Tune. Gates will be open from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. to credential and pit park. Racers will be permitted to park overnight if everyone in the vehicle has preregistered on Pit Pay, if not, they will stack until the gates open at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center bracket, point sign-ups are now live on Pit Pay for all classes, so save time and purchase your points membership via Pit Pay.
After the first bracket weekend of the season, racers will have another chance for an open Test ‘n’ Tune on April 12. This will be in the same open format as the previous Test ‘n’ Tune on March 29. Lanes assignments will be the same as listed on the website, and the cost will remain $50 for tech cards and $20 for crew and spectators.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. and the track will be hot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This Test ‘n’ Tune will be open for any kind of car, with any type of tire, and will serve as a chance for racers to tune their cars up before Import Face Off the following day and for the next bracket race on April 26-27.
On April 13, the largest touring show and race import series comes back to WWT Raceway when Import Face Off (IFO) takes over. The day will consist of drag racing, car shows, drifting and much more. Street legal racing will be back for Ranken Technical College Presents Midnight Madness fueled by Nos Energy Drink on April 18 for sports night. After a hefty turn out of over 3,000 people at the season opener, the street car series is ready for another great night of racing and drifting.
All tickets for Midnight Madness can be purchased on Pit Pay (or TIXR for spectators) for an expedited entry or tickets can be purchased at the gate. Prices for racers start at $30 the week before the event and increase to $40 the day of. The price for crew and spectators is set at $20, and tickets for children must be purchased at the gate for $10.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and the track goes hot from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Racers and crew can enter from the front gate located at 700 Raceway Blvd, and spectators can enter at 1905 Collinsville Rd. The first 300 patrons through the gate will receive the second limited edition sticker in the series.
WWTR N/T Racers Program, hosted by Jake Rose, Chris McCrossan and Jeremy Mifflin, is coming in hot for 2025. With something for everyone, the Small Tire Heads Up and index racing program, offers both 1/8- and 1/4-mile races. Street Bikes and Super Comp Motorcycles classes will also be contested during this event. Built by racers for racers, these events guarantee a great time, great show and great payouts.
The N/T Racers program opens their 2025 season on April 19 for their “April Fools Bash,” where gates will open at 9 a.m. and track goes hot at 10 a.m. Tech cards can be bought via Pit Pay or at the gate for $60, and crew and spectators fees are set at $20.
