When you first start talking with our 2025 Garrison Security Group Super Comp Motorcycle powered by Multi-Care Specialist and J&J Designs Champion Scott Leonard, you immediately hear the excitement in his voice—and you can’t help but feel the passion he has for motorcycle racing.
Racing isn’t new to Scott. At 55 years old, it’s less of a hobby and more of a way of life.
A box maker and mechanic by trade, Scott was introduced to motorcycles at an early age by watching his father, Robert “Pops” Leonard, riding his street bike. That spark quickly turned into a lifelong love of bikes. At just 16 years old, Scott cut his teeth on a fast dirt bike, and from that moment on, there was no slowing him down.
Like most mothers, Scott’s mom Wendy was strongly opposed to her son racing a street bike. But Scott’s passion for racing only continued to grow. He learned how to improve his bike, making it faster while also learning how to truly handle these powerhouse machines.
Sure, there were a few late nights… and maybe even a street race or two. But Scott was smart enough to know that if he wanted a real future in racing, it had to happen on the racetrack—specifically at World Wide Technology Raceway.
Scott would ride his bike to St. Louis International Raceway, as it was called back in the day, race the event, and sometimes even win. But getting home after midnight came with consequences: an angry mom who didn’t want her son out racing that bike. To avoid the wrath, Scott perfected a strategy many of us can relate to: after racing, he’d ride home, gun the engine as he approached, then shut it off a block from the house and quietly coast into the driveway. We’ve all been there, right?
And that’s where the story began.
Fast forward to 2025, with four championships already under his belt, Scott Leonard just keeps getting better. During the 2025 season, Scott captured:
- Two Garrison Security Group Super Comp Motorcycle powered by Mutli-Care Specialist and J&J Designs wins
- Two Phil’s Plumbing Service & Repair Street Bike E.T. presented by Local 360 Plumbers & Gas fitters wins
- One Commercial Safe & Lock Super Pro Bike win
- Plus two additional runner-up finishes
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Scott didn’t seem to care what bike he was riding, he just found ways to win. In fact, Scott won races this season on three different motorcycles. He even won the first race of the year on his sister’s motorcycle. You can’t make that up.
With this latest title, Scott’s incredible career now includes five total championships: four at World Wide Technology Raceway and one at Byron Dragway.
One of the most remarkable moments of the season came when Scott found himself running two different bikes in two different classes, advancing to two separate final rounds on the same day. While he couldn’t be in two places at once, and didn’t win them both, Scott said it was still one of his proudest accomplishments. He was sitting on the starting line in one final when the announcer kept calling his name to the lanes for the other final.
That’s a problem most racers would gladly accept.

Scott also expressed heartfelt thanks to his family—his father “Pops”, his mother Wendy, his cousin Keke Lipford, the track photographer, and Sarah Lipford his sister.
But above all, Scott wanted to recognize his wife, Angela.
Scott says Angela is a huge part of his success. She’s right there in the garage handing him wrenches, squeezing clutch cables while he makes adjustments, and calming him down when things aren’t going quite mechanically right. Her support means everything, and Scott couldn’t do this without her.
So, what’s next for 2026?
Scott is already testing a Vance & Hines Suzuki Hayabusa, which recently ran a 9.01-second ET in the quarter mile. He’s excited to work alongside the incredible Vance & Hines team to dial the bike into the 8.90s, or maybe even the 8.80s. Time will tell.
And the goals for 2026?
To repeat as track champion, of course.
Now I ask, does it make sense to bet against Scott Leonard?
Five track championships suggest… probably not.
