Schedule Released for NASCAR Doubleheader Weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway

  • Sept. 11-13 weekend to feature second-round NASCAR Chase races for both the Cup Series and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
  • Off-track entertainment includes the Confluence Music Festival, JJK 5K, hauler parade, track walk and more.

MADISON, Ill. (April 8, 2026) – The schedule for the Sept. 11-13 NASCAR Chase doubleheader weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway has been released, featuring the second-round Chase races for both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

The NASCAR O’Reilly Series will open the weekend’s postseason action with the Nu Way 225 Sauced by Blues Hog on Saturday, Sept. 12. The weekend will culminate with the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, Sept. 13. NASCAR racing will once again be complemented by the return of the Confluence Music Festival, delivering a diverse lineup of headlining acts and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Additional off-track activities include the JJK 5K, NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade and fan track walk to kick off race week. The Jackie Joyner-Kersee event begins the week with a Labor Day 5K and fun run on Monday, Sept. 7. Tickets to participate in the event are available at https://wwtraceway.com/jjk5k/.

The NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade along Route 66 will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, and be followed by a free fan track walk and Gateway Garage preview at 6 p.m. The campgrounds will be active throughout the evening, highlighted by a BBQ contest at 5 p.m. and a campground concert and bonfire at The Shed beginning at 6 p.m.

On-track action begins Saturday, Sept. 12, with NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice at noon CT, followed by qualifying at 1:05 p.m. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Nu Way 225 Sauced by Blues Hog, or the 225-mile, 180-lap event, will begin at 6:30 p.m. for the second of the nine O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase races.

The NASCAR Cup Series stars also will be on track that day with practice at 2:30 p.m. and qualifying at 3:40 p.m.

The Confluence Music Festival will be going full throttle Saturday as well, with the Turn 4 Stage featuring acts from 8 a.m. to noon along with pre- and post-race concerts surrounding the evening race.

The weekend will be highlighted by the fifth annual Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, Sept. 13, beginning at 2 p.m. The 300-mile, 240-lap feature will serve as the second of 10 races in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase format.

The Confluence Music Festival continues Sunday with acts throughout the midway beginning at 9:30 a.m. Music will be available throughout the day at the Turn 4 Stage, Midway Stage and Turn 1 Infield Stage. The festival, which is complimentary to race ticket holders each day, will announce its full weekend lineup of music acts in mid-June.

In addition to the music lineup, the midway will feature a variety of entertainment, including the fan-favorite Kenny Wallace Live! at 9:45 a.m. on Cup race day. Fans can also attend the pre-race show in the Infield Fan Zone at 12:15 p.m. and NASCAR Cup Series driver introductions at 1:25 p.m.
