The final stretch of the 2025 WWTR N/T Racers season brought us the Track or Treat event — and true to form, the day was full of tricks, treats, and good ol’ Midwest racing grit.

The program kicked off early, but after just one round of testing, the skies opened up. A quick burst of rain threatened to derail the night, but the WWTR track staff wasn’t having it. Within minutes, they were on the surface — brooming, blowing, dragging, and even bringing out the jet dryer to make quick work of the moisture. Talk about commitment to the program. Their hustle and teamwork kept the event alive, and before long, cars were back in the lanes ready for eliminations.

Once racing resumed, the energy ramped up fast. The pits were buzzing, Halloween lights were glowing, and fans lined the fence for some tight heads-up and index matchups deep into the night.

Small Tire Limited

The Small Tire Limited class drew another strong field, with a 4.80 index chip pulled for the day. The racers brought their A-game on the 1/8 mile, showing why STL remains one of the most competitive and growing classes in the series. When the smoke cleared, it was Jason Hoard taking the win over Jeff Long in a solid final-round matchup. Hoard’s consistency and cool under pressure sealed the deal, earning him well-deserved bragging rights and the trophy to match.

Street Car Classes

The Street Car Index program once again delivered some of the best racing of the evening, filled with tight finishes, upsets, and first-time winners across multiple groups.

Group A: A battle of familiar names and family ties saw Corey Phillips behind the wheel of his brother Matt’s car — and he made it count. Corey took down Kyle “Gator” Ciborowski in the finals to claim the win and close out the night on top in Group A.

Group B: The story of the night came from newcomer Chris Sostman, who made a big statement by driving through the field and taking his first-ever win. Rory Bradley impressed everyone with her first finals appearance, earning runner-up honors and plenty of attention for her performance.

Group C: Brandt Nelson found his rhythm and powered through to a finals victory over the always-consistent Rodger Thompson. Both racers ran strong, but Nelson’s pace and precision made the difference.

Group D: Another newcomer story capped off the night — Tyler Johnson took home the win, outpacing Ryan Egleston in the finals. Tyler showed poise and control all day, making his debut one to remember.

Plumbers & Gas Fitters Union Local 360 Presents: Phil’s Plumbing Street Bike and Garrison Security Group Super Comp MX Class presented by Multicare Specialists, RPM Specialties, and J&J Design.

The track was not just limited to four tires, the bikes produced fierce competition in both the Phil’s Plumbing Street Bike and Garrison Security Group Super Comp MX Classes. For the Street Bike class, it was Darnell Dickerson who snagged the win over Charles Willis Sr. In the Super Comp MX Class, Brandon Childress came out victorious over Phil Humphrey.

Final Thoughts

The Track or Treat event had everything — unpredictable weather, fierce racing, and the same sense of camaraderie that defines the WWTR N/T Racers community. From the racers who waited out the rain to the staff who worked tirelessly to keep the track hot, it was another night that proved why this program continues to grow and draw some of the best grassroots racers in the region.

But the season isn’t over just yet! The next race is Saturday, November 1st, 2025 — the Year-End “Frosty Finale.” And here’s the twist everyone’s been waiting for…
