Nostalgia Drag Racing Returns with the NDRL Route 66 Rockabilly Reunion Memorial Day Weekend

MADISON, Ill. (April 29, 2026) – The 2026 Spring of Speed is back in full swing with the Nostalgia Drag Racing League’s (NDRL) Route 66 Rockabilly Reunion at World Wide Technology Raceway on May 22-23, featuring two days of high energy racing and vintage style.

The NDRL season opener returns with an exciting new feature to 2026: participants in the car show hosted by Belleville Gear Jammers Car Club will earn the opportunity to cruise on the 1.25-mile oval that hosts both INDYCAR and NASCAR. To qualify for the car show, vehicles must be a model year 1989 or older.  To participate it is $20 for driver only or bring a carload of friends and the entry is $30!  The cruise takes place at the conclusion of the car show at 4:00 pm.

Competition among these nostalgic vehicles ramps up with an exclusive Hot Rod Eliminator bracket race for cars 1989 and older. The class will compete in four elimination rounds to be crowned the winner.

The classes for the event are as follows: Pro 7.0, Pro 7.5, Pro Comp, Pro Gas, Modified Production, Nostalgia Super Stock, Nostalgia Gas, Small Tire Pro Stock, Hot Rod Eliminator and Car Show hosted by Belleville Gear Jammers.

Spectator admission is priced at $20 for adults, $15 for students and children 12 and under are admitted free. In addition to general admission tickets, trackside tailgate ($75) and trackside camping ($75) upgrades are available.

Gate will open daily at 8 a.m. Please use the 700 Raceway Blvd. entrance.
