MADISON, Ill. (June 10, 2025) – The ninth annual Bommarito Automotive Group 500 is an action-packed weekend full of family fun at World Wide Technology Raceway and gates open at 9:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, June 14 for a day full of festivities.

The INDYCAR action isn’t the only thrilling event this weekend. The United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown series comes back to their fastest track on their calendar with the 1.25-mile oval at WWT Raceway. Along with WWT Raceway being the open-wheel sprint car series’ fastest track, the short oval also doubles as their longest track. In 2024, the series broke numerous track records when Kody Swanson made a run of 30.239 seconds with a new speed record average of 148.814 mph.

As part of the Celebration of Route 66 Fest, the Silver Crown series has changed their race to 66 laps during the Ranken Technical College Route 66 Classic presented by Welsch Heating and Cooling. The front engine, open wheel cars go on track at 9:15 a.m. for their practice session to start a full day of racing. Silver Crown qualifying is set at 1:05 p.m. and their feature race begins at 7:00 p.m.

The track stays hot with INDY NXT by Firestone practice at 12:05 p.m. and qualifying at 3:35 p.m. in preparation of their feature race on Sunday. The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will also take the track for three practice sessions starting with their first at 10:30 a.m. NTT INDYCAR SERIES qualifying will take place at 2:00 p.m.  Final practice for the open-wheel series is at 5:30 p.m. and high line practices are at 4:45 p.m. (Group A) and 5:00 p.m. (Group B).

Entertainment is not reserved only for racing. Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling (SICW) is back on the Midway where these all-stars get the crowd pumped up during these fan favorite matches. SICW Championship Wrestling Sessions will be on the Midway, adjacent to the Turn 4 Midway Stage, at 11:30 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.

The night wraps up when ‘90s rock band Cracker takes the Turn 4 Midway Stage to conclude the day full of entertainment at 8:30 p.m. (or approximately 15 minutes following the completion of the Silver Crown event).  This band’s unique sound features influence of rock, punk, grunge, psychedelia, country, blues and folk that is bound to get the crowd rocking.

Led by singer David Lowery and guitarist Johnny Hickman, the band has a wide variety of hits such as the popular 1992 song “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)” off their debut album “Cracker.” The hits did not stop there, the band released their gold selling album “Kerosene Hat” in 1993. The band is coming off a sold-out performance last Saturday at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre as part of their 2025 world tour.

While Cracker may be closing out the main facility, local band Blackwater Acoustic will perform for campers at the Campground Stage at 10:00 p.m. in preparation for the Father’s Day full of racing.
