MADISON, Ill. (May 4, 2025) – Rain stayed away for the remaining day of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 5 season opener double header. After a rain out on May 3, Division 5 racers continued to impress on the drag strip at World Wide Technology Raceway.
After numerous weather delays, and even a cancellation, the Division 5 racers and fans stuck through the now five days of action at WWT Raceway. Racers and fans showed what true determination is by sticking it out through the days of off and on rain. Race 2 concluded without any interruptions as weather stayed clear and racers brought their all to the drag strip.
The first ever Division 5 competition was one for the books at WWT Raceway. With two double-up winners for Race 1 to the dedication of racers for sticking out through rain for Race 2, the double header ended a success despite the weather.
