The July 29-30 weekend was planned as a bracket racer doubleheader: two days of Carl’s 4WD & Performance Center ET Bracket Series racing, along with the NHRA.tv “Wally” trophy challenge and the Willis Racing Motorcycle Shootout. The event drew racers from as far away as Iowa and Ohio.
Saturday, the racers soldiered on, braving unseasonably hot temperatures. Saturday’s eliminations were in the first round when a severe storm hammered the area. The race was ended at Round 1, called complete, and the winners of the first round of eliminations shared the prize money. The NHRA.tv Wally races and Willis Racing Motorcycle Shootout were moved to Sunday.
The entire program was completed Sunday. Winners included:
