WWT Raceway Junior Street Program

The NHRA Jr Street program ignites the excitement of drag racing for 13-16-year-olds, offering a thrilling and affordable entry point into the sport. This exhilarating program allows young racers to experience the adrenaline rush of drag racing in a safe, controlled environment, alongside an approved co-driver in a street-legal vehicle. Racing up to 9-seconds in the 1/8th mile, participants will not only satisfy their need for speed but also learn the importance of vehicle safety and regulations.

It’s more than just racing; it’s an opportunity for invaluable lessons, family bonding, and the beginning of potentially lifelong passions and careers in motorsports. So, rev your engines, young racers, and prepare for the ride of your life with the NHRA Jr. Street.

NEW for 2026, we have the exciting opportunity to run Junior Street as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.  This will be run on Saturday and kids will be competing for a special NHRA prize with this.  This will be run on the Saturday ONLY of the 2 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events at WWTR, and will count towards our overall points championship also.

All competitors need to undergo the NHRA license process prior to competing in any “competition” events.  We will offer a chance for licensing and testing for Junior Street at all Test ‘n’ Tune nights.
