JOIN REV! Become a Race Event Volunteer for NASCAR, INDYCAR and NHRA events

REV = RACE EVENT VOLUNTEERS

 

February 10, 2022, St. Louis – World Wide Technology Raceway is opening its REV recruitment program for the 2022 racing season. WWTR is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers with a can-do attitude. Volunteering at the event is a unique and fulfilling experience that will offer great insight into some of the largest annual sporting events in the St. Louis region.

Volunteer team members will receive an hourly wage (excluding campground hosts), an event T-shirt, an official REV shirt, a REV staff hat, complementary lunch, bottles of water throughout the day, admission to a post-race party, free tickets to other WWTR events and a guest pass for a friend or family member to attend our national events.

Positions are available for the following teams:

 

Concession Staff

  • Learn and practice food safety procedures at all times
  • Work well with team members to efficiently provide quick service to our guests
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high energy environment
  • Driven to provide excellent customer service and a high quality of food to guests

 

Front Gate Guest Services

  • Welcome fans to the track and remember that you are their first impression of our facility before they even get to the entrance gate
  • Assist guests with accurate directions, event information and any other assistance on property
  • Properly check staff with their credentials
  • Inspect coolers/bags per gate guidelines

 

Midway Information Booth Specialist

  • Must be able to think quickly, utilize their tools to provide our fans with accurate information in a timely manner, and ensure our fans have a positive race-day experience.
  • Prior knowledge of the facility encouraged
  • Direct guests to nearest concession stand, seats, restroom, merchandise stand, etc.

 

Information Booth/Infield Check-in

  • Properly check tickets/credentials for valid access into the infield
  • Assist guests with accurate directions, event information and any other assistance on property
  • Issue wristbands upon waiver completion

 

Parking Attendant 

  • Ensure optimal utilization of parking area and maintain safety of all guests
  • Ensure traffic flow and parking allows for access of emergency vehicles
  • Maintain knowledge of facility and event, i.e. providing directions
  • Utilize hand signals and lights to direct guests into open spots
  • Position and move barricades, cones and signage as needed
  • Manage and resolve guest questions while providing excellent customer service

 

Parking Scanner

  • Properly scan each guest’s parking pass ticket for valid access into the facility
  • Confirm credential authenticity
  • Check vehicles for valid access into the facility at corresponding vehicle entry points
  • Assist guests with accurate directions, event information and any other assistance on property

 

Ticket Scanner

  • Properly scan each guest’s event ticket for valid access into the facility
  • Confirm credential authenticity
  • Assist guests with accurate directions, event information and any other assistance on property
  • Properly check staff with their credentials
  • Assist guests with accurate directions, event information and any other assistance on property

 

Program and 50/50 Seller

  • Basic math skills – accurately calculate cost of transactions and ability to make change
  • Comfortable with cash handling
  • 50/50 tickets are sold to walk-up fans using a point-of-sale handheld tablet
  • Sellers will walk the grounds and throughout the grandstands, so must be outgoing and approachable

 

WWTR will host its inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 5. Leading up to the Cup Series race, WWTR’s festive NASCAR Weekend will include a downtown NASCAR hauler parade, a fan fest at Ballpark Village, the inaugural #CupTimeSTL Short Track Classic at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota 200.
