Friday, April 18 Midnight Madness event will feature earlier start time: Gates will now open at 5 p.m.

MADISON, Ill. (April 17, 2025)- World Wide Technology Raceway has announced the following gate adjustments for the Friday, April 18, 2025 Good Friday/Easter Holiday weekend Ranken Technical College Midnight Madness event.

Gates will open one hour earlier than originally posted with a new time of 5 p.m.  Drag racing will begin as soon as the first racers have completed technical inspection with a planned start time of 5:15 p.m. Action in the drift arena is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.  

Revised Schedule of Activities:

Gates Open:                      5 p.m. 

Tech Inspection:             5 p.m. – 10 p.m. 

Drag Racing:                     5:15 p.m.

Drift:                                     6 p.m.   

T-Shirt Toss:                       10 p.m. 

Friday’s Midnight Madness theme is “Sports Night’ and the first 300 patrons through the gates will receive the second edition of WWTR’s 2025 theme collectible decal.  

The VP Racing Lubricants Test N Tune, N/T Racers and Bike event scheduled for Saturday, April 19 has been cancelled due to the unfavorable weather conditions forecast all day Saturday and Sunday. Please refer to the WWT Raceway drag racer page for additional information and schedule updates.
