MADISON, Ill. (March 26, 2025) – Drag racing season is near at World Wide Technology Raceway, and racing kicks-off with the first Test ‘n’ Tune of the 2025 season on March 29. Gates open at 9 a.m., with racing set to begin at 10 a.m. Tech inspections are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and racing will conclude for the day at 5 p.m.
The full day of action provides an opportunity for racers to fine-tune their cars before big events, such as the upcoming Carl’s 4 Wheel Drive and Performance Center E.T. Bracket Series on April 4-6. This test day will also serve as a license session for Marine Coin Company Junior Street competitors to get their NHRA license before the first race.
To purchase a tech card or entry ticket, racers can save time by paying via Pit Pay in advance, or tech cards will be available for purchase at the gate. The fees are as follows: $50 for car and driver tech cards, $20 for spectators and crew, and free entry for nonparticipants 12 and under. Point sign-ups are now live for all classes, and memberships can be purchased via Pit Pay to save time on race day.
Test ‘n’ Tune is open to more than just race cars. It is an open invitation to all racers with any car, with any type of tire. Any racer is welcome to take their car down the quarter-mile drag strip in preparation for the nearing season.
Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at Top Speed Concessions from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Top Speed will have a variety of refreshments to help fuel racers as they prepare to take their vehicles down the drag strip.
