April Events are Booked at the Gateway Kartplex

MADISON, Ill. (April 1, 2025) – The Gateway Kartplex’s season is in full swing in April 2025. The Kartplex will continue to host their variety of series and events such as the Ignite Series, SuperComp Series, iDrive and Party at the Plex presented by All Mischief. 

The Saturday Ignite spec series runs its first two races on April 5, and races 3 and 4 of the spec series will be held on April 26. Both events will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This series only allows two of Margay Ignite chassis with the Briggs 206 engine: the K2 for racers 8-12 years of age and the K3 for racers 12 years of age and up. Typically held on Sunday’s, SuperComp races start back up on April 6 for races 1 and 2, and April 27 for races 3 and 4. SuperComp is raced based on classes and allows for any type of chassis. Each racer must adhere to the rules for their desired class that are posted on the Kartplex website.

The reoccurring Wednesday night rental kart racing Spring iDrive series returns for the first two races of the season on April 9 and 23. For this series, classes are based off weight: light, medium and heavy. The racers in this series go head-to-head to try and make it to the Shootout for a chance to win an Ignite K3 scholarship. Prices for a full series pass, for Spring or Fall, starts at $400, and a single entry can be purchased at $70 per event. 

For a night full of music, food, cars and high-speed karting, visit the Gateway Kartplex on April 19 for Party at the Plex presented by All Mischief. The party will take place at the Kartplex from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. where a discounted karting rate of $30 for a race will be offered. To drive during this night of fun, there is a minimum age of 14 years old and closed toe shoes are required. Guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 

Alongside the on-track action, a car show will fill the lot with more than 15 awards to be handed out. The night will be full of giveaways and plenty of vendors will be in attendance for guests to get some gear and goodies. Food and beverages will be available for purchase as well as a bar for guests who are 21 plus.
