Dear WWTR Racers:
We are ready to debut an exciting new VP Racing Fuels Super Saturday program. We have come up with a set of classes and rules that is fair to everyone, while staying within the confines of the NHRA rulebook. This will be similar to the program we ran in the fall of 2022, with some new twists. Dates for the events will be April 8, April 22, October TBD, and November 4.
For the 2023 season, we are going to introduce three separate ¼-mile Index street car classes: 10.0 Index, 11.0 Index, and 12.0 Index. In addition to the Index classes, we will also offer a ¼-mile Stick Shift Heads-up class. All four of these categories will run on an instant-green tree, with times shown on the scoreboards. As in the past, all cars in these classes must be plated and insured, to keep it geared more toward street vehicles. We are going to keep the chip draw for elimination parings in all classes.
We also will continue to offer the Street ET Motorcycle program (as in the 2022 season). For the bracket racer, we are going to offer a $3,000-to-win Box class, 1/8-mile, following Super Pro rules. For the no-box racer, you are welcome to try one of the Index classes if your car fits the rules, or competes with the Box racers. There is nothing to prevent a no-box racer from running this program.
If you are interested in sponsoring a class, or have any questions or comments, please contact Race Director Brad Cannon at bcannon@wwtraceway.com.
A complete set of rules and event information will be posted at www.wwtraceway.com/racers in the near future.
Thank you,
WWTR Management
