World Wide Technology Raceway releases renewal tickets for Countdown to the Championship weekend
MADISON, Ill. (March 7, 2025) – Renewals are now live for the highly-anticipated 2025 National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Midwest Nationals on Sept. 26-28 at World Wide Technology Raceway. The event is the 17th stop on the 20 race NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule and the third round of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
After setting new records on track and drawing near-sellout crowds in 2024, this critical stop in the playoffs is a fan-favorite. WWT Raceway’s drag strip, the ‘Palace of Power,’ is known for producing incredible performance and memorable events since it began hosting NHRA racing in 1997.
Friday features two complete rounds of professional qualifying including a late afternoon and night session for Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster. The fall temperatures, along with ideal track conditions, set the stage to give fans the opportunity to see track and world records shattered under the lights.
Saturday features a full day of racing action with the final two professional qualifying sessions to set the final field of 16 for Sunday eliminations. WWT Raceway has recorded sell-out Saturday’s nine of the last 10 years, and reserved seat tickets are always at a premium for one of the most highly anticipated stops of the year.
Championship Sunday features four rounds of eliminations to crown the NHRA Midwest Nationals Champion. The St. Louis race is a critical stop on in the Countdown to the Championship as only three races remain once the tour leaves WWT Raceway. The difference between winning, or losing, a national title all comes down to how well the championship contenders perform on super Sunday.
Pro Mod, Top Sportsman, Factory X and Factory Stock eliminations will take place between rounds of Nitro and Pro Stock in the Mission Foods Series. WWT Raceway will also host the final event of the Factory Stock Showdown Championship. Even with non-stop racing, the entertainment is not only on the strip.
At The Midwest Nationals, your ticket is more than just a seat, it doubles as a pit-pass that gives guests exclusive access to the pro pits. Fans have a unique opportunity to meet their favorite drivers, attend autograph sessions, visit the manufacturer’s midway, tour a car show and explore the open pits that provide fans unparalleled access to the cars and stars of NHRA Championship Drag Racing.
Renewals for 2024 ticket buyers have been sent via email by TIXR.com. Those account holders will have until March 31 to reserve and finalize their seats and camping for the 2025 event. (If a deposit was placed or there is a credit on the account from 2024, the balance will be included in your renewal price). General public on-sale tickets will open for all customers on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
